The DWIN TranScanner 2 is a variable line multiplier built specifically for the home theater applications. It is designed so that one can dial-in exactly the right amount of line multiplication so that a video display's "optimum line density" is achieved. This optimum line density, which is characterized by the size of the projection CRT tubes and the size of the scanning electron beam, is the point where horizontal scan lines just blend into each other to produce a seamless, film-like image.
